Fight Commentary Breakdowns
США
Добавлен 28 июл 2016
Martial artists breaking down martial arts. My name is Jerry. You'll hear my voice the most on this channel. I practiced various styles of Kungfu and Karate as a kid. Then as an adult, I rediscovered martial arts, and it drastically improved my life. I created this channel in 2016 to remind myself to keep training and keep learning. I currently train in Muay Thai. I have trained in boxing, kickboxing, Capoeira, Aikido, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). I've also explored American Kenpo and Wing Chun. My Fight Commentary Breakdowns guests will cover the styles that I haven't trained first-hand.
This channel will provide fight commentary, news, research and humor. We will break down combat sports, MMA trends, and self-defense myths. We seek to learn what really works for the various situations in life, adding our brand of humor. We love martial arts, train often, and seek to learn more every day.

Wing Chun Kungfu vs Muay Thai
One of the most interesting attempts by a Wing Chun practioner to try to go against Muay Thai. What was up with those chain punches constantly in the air? They definitely only wasted energy and left the face open. Let us know what else you saw from this sparring session.

Jeet Kune Do Guy vs Karate, Kickboxing, and MMA
This is complete trash and to call the other guy a boxer is a nothing short of a lie. Sure he's wearing gloves but that doesn't validate him as a boxer. Also why is the first dipshit wearing mma gloves and the "boxer" wearing 16oz? Just disgusting 😂😂
The only thing pressure points are good for is putting someone in pain to manipulate how they move. This is only truly applicable after someone has been tired out or you are on the ground with an opponent. Personally I would never waste time using a pressure point. I would much rather break a bone, tear a ligament, dislocated a shoulder, break a rib, there are so many better options that take much less effort that ate wayyy easier to pull off. Don't waste time trying to take a shortcut and just learn how to fight. Go to an MMA gym for sparring partners and find a good muay thai, Jiu-jitsu, and Judo coach. If you want to learn less applicable fighting that you just think is cool, do that after you have learned how to fight in the first place otherwise you will be made a fool like in this video.
Man why are fight against a "boxer" the guy don`t know how to box?
This is what happens when you never spar, and think that winning fights is how it is in a beat 'em up game: You just have to spam your special moves.
nice flare kick attempt by gi guy man sheesh
The signature WC hand posture should never be applied in sparring. Even though this guy did a little better by switching between two hands but the move is highly predictable and the opponent can time it. Also the WC should defend the kick with either leg check or intercept, not with hands.
He looks like an amateaur Wing Chun practitioner to me. That's not an insult, just an observation. I think you have to get far into the Wing Chun system (forms) before the art becomes highly effective. Seems to me like the moves you would commonly use in sparring, are taught far into the system, not at the start.
Beautiful
The Sicknes
So just because you are self-proclaiming doesn't mean anything. I don't know why anyone would take this seriously LOL
Both of those guys are garbage.
I came from leung ting, but we left the organization! My sifu was full contact fighter before he got to wt. I like sifu Fernandez wing chun do, he incorporates boxing and pressure testing!
He needs to step in! Amd stay there, but ya gotta be soft enough and springy enough to make it work
Its like he dont know his ranges or the concept truly
I'm coming the realization that SO MaNY NOVICES think what Tantori's doing here is Kick Boxking is because THEY don't know CLF techniques at all. For example, Ping An Choy or eye level fist is very very very similar to a boxers jab. Put gloves on our hands, you don't get to see the shape of the fists, so you attribute things to "KICK BOXING". choy Lee Fut has its own teeps, its own set of elbow strikes, it's own knee strikes, its own hooking punches, its own upper cuts, spinning back fists, But since gloves on our hands disguises what we do, the NOVICES label it as KICK BOXING because these NOVICES only think Kung Fu is about hand or weapon forms training. They think our forms are how we fight. Yet, like so many novices, they are incorrect. i read all these commments and can't help but to laugh at the level of arrogance behind the comments because they're so wrong and without knowledge of true CLF and what we do.
There isn't any kenpo in the video.
Wow see that, u right jerry and proper chain punches both hands should not be away at the same time!!
Still taking this in, but right away wing Chun guy is not being aggressive enough!
For someone who was fighting textbook I thought he did not that bad. Especially compared to some KF “masters” who didn’t resemble any training. Looks like this dude was at least figuring things out
Agree, tho the pre fight posture was never meant to be used as a fighting pose as far as I was taught
Diu!
@@Ed7501 😂 say it with pride!
Wing Chun guy definitely has little experience in application, he still uses classroom Wing Chun like how if a non native English speaker goes from academic English in the classroom to informal English in the streets.
Great video more Muaythai team Muaythai
Wing chun guy needs more sparring experience.
Sari changed to a Savate Stance for speed and used Francois Savate sweeps, that way he was tied and then used the clinch to give himself at advantage. This was tactical choice & not a Style comparison like the other 2 fights.
Thank you for your breakdowns and hope when I start fighting you can break down my Muaythai @fightcommentarybreakdowns and if I fight big I want you in the audience to show my thanks to yoy
The purpose of that technique is to throw off your opponent's mind, make him guess what kind of Martial Arts this is, and start wasting mental energy by telling himself: "What da heck are you doing, bro ! Are we fighting?"
I would guess he keeps chain punching because he is either just intimidated, or he just is unsure about what hes doing (meaning as an amateur in sparring).
Old Streetfighter songs would work great too.
1:17 The highlight of my day. I keep playing this part ! I'm literally crying !
The inward knee crossed legs thing bothers me, that's part of the forms but really isn't a fighting stance, it will happen for a split second when shifting to face the opponent 🤷♂️ still cool though, did better than most "masters"
Absolutely ridiculous.
He's using those chain punches to set up a trap definitely has a good foundation but i agree he can set up a chain with a higher guard.
Calm down young fella😂
No terrible but def needs more live sparring experience
This is going to be interesting
Lapel (back of the neck) sleeve (grab wrist or tricep depending on throw). Those 9 throws would have required the Mua Thai guy to have 9 lives in the real world.
Guy on black shirt not really a legit boxer
Not much of a boxer
Not much of a boxer
The biggest take away is the Ref with the cool ass bucket hat 🧢 on 😂! The rest was horrible display of skill. Yellow belts playing at best.
I saw more Muay Thai and sub grappling out of the Gi guy more than anything.
I see a lot of people talking about the Muay Thai guy should’ve added more pressure, but here’s the thing he has to be careful of taekwondo’s signature long range kicks so he couldn’t just keep applying pressure he would’ve walked into a devastating double roundhouse or spinning hook kick earlier.
I mean there's a reason they say we stand on the shoulders of giants. All the greatest parts of what are modern things are the result of things made in the past that have been refined and worked on over generations
No take downs
That's not a "boxer" in the western sense. We don't cross our arms the way he did. I don't see any real boxing techniques. He's a "kung fu boxer"
bring those ur fav judo shi to OneFC , u will know what real Muaythai is LOL
What a laughable level in the first fight! They're fighting like school boys!
He's not a boxer.
That guy was not a boxer I box and I can tell you if he waited 2 minutes to take me down in 8oz gloves he’d be unconscious
So anyone can pretend to be a boxer and fool this moron.
Those aren't masters of any thing
